Seeonic featured company at Angel Networking Event

January 19, 2010/Chicago - Harley Feldman, President and CTO, presented Seeonic to angel investors at the bi-monthly Illinois Institute of Technology Angel Networking Event.  Each event features a speaker and one company to be highlighted to potential investors.  The event was recorded on video and available here.

 

"The Internet of Things" Article

September 5, 2009 - Internetevolution.com published an article describing the tracking and analyzing of things using modern technologies such as embedded chips, wireless communications, GPS, cell phones, etc.  Seeonic's first customer Tomorrow's Mother (absorbed into the holding company TM Apparel) is discussed as to the technology implemented and the value created for the company.

 

UARK Describes Bloomingdales' Study Results

August 24, 2009 - The University of Arkansas Information Technology Research Institute announced the results of an item-level tagging study done on jeans in a Bloomindale's store versus a control store.  The results show the influence of RFID hand-held readers on item-level tags in achieving higher inventory accuracy to reduce out-of-stocks.  The results from the study further validate the benefits of Seeonic's offerings.

 

Baird RFID Monthly Describes UARK Study

May 19, 2009 - The Baird RFID Monthly discusses the potential value created by improving inventory accuracy and reducing out-of-stocks in a study done at Dillard's by the University of Arkansas Information Technology Research Institute.  The results from the study further validate the benefits of Seeonic's offerings..

 

Baird RFID Monthly Announces MAXRPM Promotional Display

May 2009 - The Baird RFID Monthly announces (page 4) Rock-Tenn/Alliance's RPM promotional display using UPM Raflatac media tags integrated with Seeonic's SightWare™ data collection module and SmartWatch™ analytics server.  This unique wireless offering is designed to minimize out-of-stocks and over-stocks in a retail store by correctly predicting consumer demand by SKU.  Baird RFID Monthly can be found here.

 

Seeonic Reviewed as One of Favorite Retail Products at RFID Journal LIVE! 2009

May 8, 2009 - Leslie Hand, Publisher, Global Retail Insights, published an article with her perspectives from the RFID Journal LIVE! 2009 conference held on Orlando on April 28 and 29 titled "Refreshingly Pragmatic and Busy".  In the article, she discusses Seeonic's service offering as "one of my favorite retail products".  Leslie describes Seeonic's offering as a shelf-level application delivered as a service and is "expected to be popular among service providers already tasked with counting and maintaining shelf level inventories."  She also believes that "this is a really good way for a vendor to track promotions or perform or outsource vendor managed inventory (VMI) related tasks."

April 22,2009 / Fletcher, NC - UPM Raflatac, Seeonic and Alliance, a RockTenn company, announce the deployment of a new generation of Alliance’s MAXRPM™, an inventory management system for retail promotional items that uses RFID technology to provide retailers and manufacturers with real-time business insights of retail promotion performance at the item level.

Seeonic to Exhibit at RFID Journal Live 2009

March 30, 2009 / Minneapolis, Minn. - Seeonic™ announces that it will exhibit examples of its technology working in two booths in the Exhibit Hall at the RFID Journal Live 2009 conference.  In Seeonic's booth #328, the company will demonstrate its apparel solution using maternity apparel from Tomorrow's Mother.  Visitors to the booth will also be given a RFID-enabled sample loyalty card made by Meyers Printing.  In addition, Seeonic will have a working model of its revolutionary online promotional display containing DVDs which was jointly developed with Rock-Tenn/Alliance in the UPM Raflatac booth #1804.  The DVDs will feature RFID tags manufactured by UPM Raflatac.  Visitors to the booth will have the opportunity to have their previously acquired loyalty cards scanned for possibly winning one of several Disney DVD movies and one grand prize of a Blu-Ray DVD player.

 

Tomorrow's Mother Selected as Finalist for RFID Journal Award

March 16, 2009 - RFID Journal announces Tomorrow's Mother as a finalist in their 2009 RFID Award category "Most Innovative Use of RFID". Winners will be announced at RFID Journal Live 2009 in Orlando April 27-29.  Tomorrow's Mother uses Seeonic technology to collect accurate inventory data and better manage its replenishment process.

 

Seeonic Announces Automated Online Inventory Pilot

January 5, 2009 / Minneapolis, Minn. - Seeonic™, Inc. announced today that nine Tomorrow’s Mother maternity clothing fixtures in Belk stores from North Carolina to Alabama are sending automated inventory counts for all of the maternity pants hanging on the fixture.  The inventory is collected four times per day and is stored in Seeonic’s SmartWatch™ data service.  Tomorrow’s Mother can view the inventory over time by apparel type, size, style and color.  SmartWatch alerts can be set to warn Tomorrow’s Mother about potential stock-out conditions long before a merchandiser would notice the problem on their monthly visit to each store.  This online data will shorten the stock replenishment cycle by 50%.  Work is beginning using analytic models to predict future stock-out conditions and make automated replenishment recommendations to the Tomorrow’s Mother staff.  The Seeonic SightWare™ module provides the automated data collection at each fixture and was installed at Seeonic’s headquarters prior to the fixture being delivered to the stores.  No personnel were required to install or support the modules in the store.

 

Seeonic CEO to Speak at MIT Enterprise Forum

Seeonic Re-brands its Product Line

Seeonic has re-branded its products to better communicate the company's vision of providing product demand visibility to its manufacturing, merchandising and retailing customers.  Seeonic's smart shelf module and associated software and firmware is now called SightWare™.  The company's web service for collecting store-based product inventory data, creating replenishment alerts, predictive replenishment analytics, and event intelligence is now called SmartWatch™.

 

Seeonic Installs Technology at University of Arkansas

On January 29, 2008, Seeonic installed its SightWare™ smart shelf module at the University of Arkansas's RFID Center.  The module is connected to the Company's SmartWatch™ data management and analytic data service.  The Company became a lab sponsor and its technology will be studied and be on display for the many visitors from all over the world who visit the Center.
